Topic for today: The problem of attraction (in a science-y way)

There is a natural human tendency to surround ourselves with people much like ourselves. We tend to form groups based on similarities. We amplify this sameness in schools and workplaces by streaming people into specialties.

Somewhere along the way, this leads to social friction.

So we need programs that reduce social friction. There are heaps of advantages to reducing natural social friction. It makes it possible to move forward on problems. Research shows it also forms strong companies and thriving economies.

And that’s what Beakerhead does.

The goodness of Beakerhead is made possible in part by donations from people like you.

More than ever, we need your help. Government grants are shrinking, while the need to counterbalance natural social friction is increasing.

Your donation will receive a tax receiptas Beakerhead is a registered charity.

Sincerely,

Mary Anne Moser
President and Co-founder
