Sara Young (Black Cat Weaving Studio) is a fibre artist and illustrator from Alberta, Canada. She is a graduate from the Fibre program at the Alberta College of Art + Design. She is a needle felter and a professional weaver. She also works with assorted clay types, watercolour, gouache and pencil. Her work focuses primarily on the human figure and visual storytelling. She creates tapestry and illustrative weaving, dolls and felted creatures, both real and imaginary.
