Exquisite Corpse by the Quickdraw Animation Society will showcase amazing animation work by local creators at a truly awe-inspiring scale. Exquisite Corpse is a collaborative drawing game that was invented by surrealist artists and has been beloved since as early as 1925. The game is played by having a piece of paper folded three ways, then 3 artists draw different parts of the human (the head, the body, and the legs) without seeing what the other artists created. The result is a mash-up of artistic styles, human features, and can result in a bizarre Frankenstein-like creation! Quickdraw is mashing 10 different artists’ unique styles side-by-side, to highlight their unique strengths, and projecting it at a massive scale for their contemporary take on an (almost) 100-year-old surrealist drawing game!
